Coming to iPhone · November 2026

LogRings captures the everyday learning that exams can’t measure.

There’s deeper learning in every ordinary day, at every age. Behind a toddler’s tower of blocks, a loaf baked with Gran or a new talent developed at work, there are skills and qualities that last a lifetime. Take a photo, add a sentence, and LogRings shows you what each moment reveals, building a private record of all of it.

Baked bread with Gran. Weighed the flour herself and worked out that half of 500g is 250g without being asked.

LogRings asks

Did she work out the half in her head, or on paper?

Made in the UK by a home-educating family, for every family that knows learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door.

See the learning that’s already happening

Real learning rarely looks like a school day. It’s in the den built in the garden, the questions on a long car journey, a teenager’s first Saturday job, or the cake that took three attempts. LogRings keeps hold of those moments, so on the weeks you wonder whether you’re doing enough, you can see just how much is truly being learned.

It’s made for busy people: parents juggling work, home life and, for many of us, home education, and adults who want to keep track of their own learning. Recording a moment takes about as long as sending a message, and over the months those moments add up to a clear record of how a learner is growing, whether that’s your child or you.

How it works

  1. Record it in seconds

Take a photo or a short video, then add a sentence of your own about what happened. That’s all you need to do.

  2. It asks before it decides

LogRings reads what you wrote and asks you a question if anything is unclear. Your answer improves what it records.

  3. See how they learn, not just what

Each moment is linked to the skills and qualities it shows, using a framework and method unique to LogRings rather than a list of school subjects.

  4. Share it, and see the bigger picture

Invite family to follow along and choose what each person sees. Tutors and coaches are on the way. Step back any time to see how each learner is growing.

Built for the world they’re growing up in

Technology is changing how we live and work faster than any school curriculum can keep up. What will matter most is how people solve problems, adapt, work with others and keep going when things get hard, and little of that shows up on a timetable, CV or résumé.

So LogRings has its own framework, unique to us, and its own carefully developed way of evaluating each moment against it. Together they recognise those skills and qualities in everyday life and help you see them grow.

We want this kind of learning to be properly recognised, wherever it happens. We plan for our framework to be studied independently, so that it stands up to scrutiny and can help shape how education policy recognises learning.

Know where to go next

Fill the gaps

See which skills and qualities haven’t come up for a while, as ideas for what to try next rather than boxes to tick.

Follow their passions

Spot the interests a learner keeps coming back to, from fossils to coding to sourdough, and go as deep as they want.

Private by design

Everything you record is locked on your phone before it’s saved. Only you and the people you choose can unlock it, so nobody at LogRings can read your family’s record, and LogRings never keeps an unlocked copy.

Become an early tester

We’re looking for families with an iPhone to try LogRings before it launches: families who home educate, use flexi-schooling or an alternative setting, or simply want to see the learning that happens outside lessons. Try it, and tell us honestly what works and what doesn’t.
